OUR MISSIONS
LACHICOCANA
94 km from the city of Oaxaca there is a town called Lachicocana, which is located in the northern highlands of the state of Oaxaca, belongs to the municipality of Ayutla, region of the Mixes, a place that Pastor Antonio Hernandez along with his wife and members of Calvary Oaxaca have been visiting since 1998, adopting this place as a mission.
The dream of Pastor Antonio and his family, the faith and hope of the brothers of Lachicocana was reflected when in 2008 the construction of a church began in this place. The brethren of this mission made the adobe bricks that would be used for the construction, Calvary Oaxaca brought them cement, rebar, lime and although we did not have all the material that would be needed for this construction we believed by faith that our God would supply everything according to his riches in glory, giving thanks to God the father through him. Colossians 3:17
In the year 2023 we continue to visit the Lachicocana mission.

SAN JUAN IHUALTEPEC
In the Mixtec region of the state of Oaxaca and 280 km away from the capital is located San Juan Ihualtepec, the home town of Sister Carmelita Gonzalez, wife of the founding pastor of Calvary Oaxaca. In 1973, as a student of the Berea Cultural Bible Institute, she returned to this place with a group of young Christians, bringing the gospel for the first time through a film about the life of Jesus.
Already married to Pastor Antonio Hernandez, they came together in this place in 1976 and from that moment on they began to visit San Juan Ihualtepec frequently, bringing the word of God to the needy and bringing Jesus Christ closer to their lives.
In 2013 we began the construction of a church so that the brothers could meet, today due to lack of resources we have not been able to finish this work, we hope that in 2023 we will continue with the construction of the temple.

SAN ANDRES TLAHUILOTEPEC
The distance from the city of Oaxaca to San Andres Tlahuilotepec is 229 km, a town that belongs to the Chontal region. In 2011, Pastor Antonio and his wife Carmelita were asked for help to visit a family in this place, God touched the hearts of both and they accepted the invitation to go and talk with the brothers who live there.
A friendship grew with this family and Calvary Oaxaca decided to do a mission in this place, and so they gladly continued with the visits to evangelize, teach the word of God and encourage other families to believe and follow Jesus Christ. Today in the year 2023 this mission continues and the brothers and sisters in Christ receive the word of God with joy.
SANTIAGO XIACUÍ
Santiago Xiacuí is a municipality in the Sierra Juárez region of the state of Oaxaca, it is located 78 km from the city of Oaxaca; in 2017 Pastor Antonio and his wife decided to visit a brother in Christ, they felt in their hearts to see him and talk with him because for years they had not seen him, nor knew of him. Brother Lorenzo receives them with great joy and the first thing he says is: "I knew you would come, there is a great need and God revealed to me that you would continue the work, I am very old and advanced in age and it is no longer possible for me to visit the brothers of Xiacuí, the church has closed, I am very worried, and last night I asked God to send who would visit them and who would continue the work and you are the answer of the Lord".
And it was in that year that for the first time the mission of Xiacuí received the visit of Pastor Antonio and his wife; Calvary Oaxaca by the grace and blessing of God opened the doors of the church in this place and until this year 2023 we continue with this assignment that God put in our hearts.
VILLA HIDALGO YALALAG
This municipality is located in the northern highlands region of Oaxaca, at a distance of 123 km from the city of Oaxaca. We came to this mission in the year 2022 through sister Alicia, a member of Calvary Oaxaca; she once visited our pastor Antonio and his wife Carmelita with a very good news, asking for support to visit Villa Hidalgo Yalalag.
In this place there was a family that needed spiritual help to continue growing in the word of God, they had the knowledge of the gospel but wanted to learn more, so with pleasure Pastor Antonio along with his wife and sister Alicia prayed to God and he allowed them to go to this place. This is how Calvary Oaxaca adopted this mission, in this year 2023 the visits by them continue and with joy will continue as long as God allows it.
